Svenska FN-förbundet har under flera år samarbetat med det kongolesiska FN-förbundet i olika projekt. FN-förbundet i Kongo har som medlemsorganisation kapacitet och trovärdighet att informera om FN:s arbete och skapa debatt kring rättighetsfrågor. I kampanjen Flicka samlar Svenska FN-förbundet även in pengar till Kongos FN-förbunds arbete med fokus på att informera flickor om rättigheter, jämställdhet och demokrati.
